Professor Chang Chun-yen Combined Technology and Education Displayed Augmented Reality

 With the rapid development of technology, what is the “future education”? Try to guide students to walk out of classroom and enter the “real illusion”. NTNU Science Education Center Team displayed the “Augmented Reality” research result. Through smartphones or tablet PC, combined high quality camera lens, students could experience the combination of real ambience and virtual characters.

Executive Yuan National Science Council held the “2011 Science Season: Future Technology Rhapsody” exhibition at National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from Ocotober 14th to November 25th to display the “Digital Learning National Plan”.  NTNU Professor Chang Chun-yen from Graduate Institute of Science Education participated in the exhibition and displayed the “Augmented Reality” research result. Used the space control and individual browsing ability to search and observe. For example when seeing an unknown rock, animal, or plant, just took out your smartphone or tablet pc, used the camera lens to take a picture, the software could identified the object. Student could learn in fast-speed and high efficiency.

Vice committee chairman of National Science Council Chang Ching-feng indicated that compared to the exhibition in past years, the Science Season this year had more plentiful contents and the newest and modern technology. Different interactive devices were waiting for public to experience at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October 14th to November 25th
