Professor Chang Tsai-Hsiang Memmorial Concert With Japan Musashino Academia Musicae
NTNU and Japan Musashino Academia Musicae signed up the sister-school contrast. The two schools cooperated to hold the “Professor Chang Tsai-Hsiang Passed Away 20 Years Memorial Concert” on November 8th. The concert was to appreciate the distribution Professor Chang made to NTNU department of Music and the national music industry. NTNU specially invited principal and guests from Musashino Academia Musicae to the concert.
Professor Chang Tsai-Hsiang (1915-1991) was the outstanding piano educationalist in the early Taiwan. She studied in Japan Tokyo Musashino Academia Musicae and had been teaching in NTNU department of Music since year 35. She not only played the piano well but also cultivated many talented musicians to enter the music industry in Taiwan.
Students from both schools played on the memorial concert, opened up more cooperative opportunity chances. Professor Chang’s family was invited to the concert. They generously donated 2.5 million NT dollars to build the “Chang Tsai-Hsiang Memorial Library” in department of music, to educated more music-talented students.
