Character Interview- Vice Principal Lin Tung-tai Encouraged Cross Department Development
As the Vice Principal of NTNU and the chief of college of social sciences, Lin Tung-tai talked about his school-governed ideas. It was a great chance for NTNU to forward to outstanding university. He would assist Principal Chang led NTNU to the better future. He emphasized on the cross department and integration development, expected NTNU students were completely educated.
Vice Principal Lin was graduated from Department of Adult and Continuing Education. He specialized in communication theory, research method, and social promotion. Being the vice principal, he laughed and said that he usually went swimming in the morning to keep fit and keep the pressure away. The job was hard but joyful as well. He felt appreciated to assist the principal and serve the school. He indicated that NTNU was under “transforming”. The transforming meant to develop the features based on the specialty now. NTNU awarded the humanity art feature university due to the promotion of science education and mandarin teaching. These were the two TOP of NTNU. NTNU would cross college and combine departments in the future.
As NTNU transforming to the comprehensive university, vice principal Lin encouraged students to learn across colleges, across departments. NTNU would promote mandarin teaching to the creative industry. Promoted our culture through language teaching. “Pursue outstanding, forward to master”, the administrative units, teachers, and students would work for the future of NTNU.
