Professor Liao Hsio-ping Block Print Exhibition in Library

<p> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 新細明體; ">“The Block Print Life- Professor Liao Hsio-ping Creative Art Exhibition” was organized by NTNU library, college of art, department of art, Soka Gakkai International, and Taiwan art Studio. The exhibition would be displayed in the library hall for the entire December. The opening ceremony would be held at December 5<sup>th</sup> morning.</span></p>  <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:新細明體;mso-hansi-font-family: 新細明體;mso-bidi-font-family:新細明體">Professor Liao Hsio-ping was the Father of block print. He graduated from department of art and currently being a professor in his department. He dedicated his life to the block print art. The image of Taiwan was often shown in his works. He awarded plenty of international awards such as France Spring Salon silver medal and Norway Block Print Triennial silver medal. In 1988, he awarded National Cultural and Arts Award. In 2008, he elected the outstanding aluminum of NTNU, two years later, he awarded Executive Yuan cultural award. <o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family:新細明體;mso-hansi-font-family: 新細明體;mso-bidi-font-family:新細明體">The exhibition showed his distributions to art for decades with his original works and related documents. His teaching opened up the new direction for Taiwan block print art.
