Students Show the Creativity And Efficiency In PPT Design Competition
In order to enhance teacher education student’s presentation skills and communicative competence, the office of teacher education and careers service held the PPT design competition. The participants drew the topic and got an hour to design and three minutes to present. Chen Jui-Gui from YongHo Junior High School indicated that PPT was the assisted material on teaching. It should be designed accurate, simple, and complete.
Every participant presented their PPT with their learning fields. They used the three-dimensional pictures of China topographic chart to deepen student’s impression; used the situation dialogue to motivate students; used the chart to accelerate student’s learning results; and use the animation to increase the interest in learning. Hsing Li-li from the affiliated senior high school of National Taiwan Normal University pointed out that PPT displayed the part we couldn’t verbalize.
The participant Chiang Fong-dai indicated that the competition was like a little tryout. We could not only tested ourselves but also watched others presentation. The judges indicated that it was hard to mark because of the differences of topic, subject, and content. But Besides the PPT creative design, teachers’ voice, tone, and body language were all part of the teaching.
