Gansu High School Teacher Group Called On NTNU For Minority Group Education

Gansu high school training class called on NTNU on February 16th to exchange the teaching training system and teaching project and to discuss the minority group education as well. NTNU vice principal Cheng Chi-fu indicated that we expected to have more cooperation in the future.

NTNU professional teacher training group Wu Chia-jung indicated that the schoolteacher development affairs included holding different kinds of teacher camp, building up the teacher system, and assisted new teacher to get familiar with the environment. One of the teacher from the group Mao Chu-sheng highly approved NTNU teacher system.

Beside the teacher development, student education was the topic in the discussion as well. Compare to NTNU aboriginal student counseling, Mou Chi-hsin indicated that the students in one of the universities in Gansu came from 18 different tribal groups. 70% from the minority groups and 34% were Tibetan. The basic education was varied from different regions, the standard were different either.

NTNU student learning promotion chief Chiu Hao-cheng mentioned that he had visited other school in the past. He indicated that the minority group was a relative concept. Beside the aboriginal student issue, NTNU would emphasize on international students and overseas Chinese students in the future.
