Korea National Institutes for International Education (NIED) called on NTNU Mandarin Teaching Center (MTC) on June 29th. Professor Pu Hu Nan and Professor Li Lung Hsun from NIED indicated that they were very interested in the operation of MTC. They specially observed the teaching and the teaching materials in MTC.

Taiwan Ministry of Education invited Professor Pu Hu Nan and Professor Li Lung Hsun from Korea National Institutes for International Education to observe the higher education institutes in Taiwan. They specially wanted to understand the training of Mandarin teaching teachers and the education promotion. Therefore, they visited the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language Center and NTNU for the operation of MTC. Vice director Liang Yi Ping from Office of International Affairs and Chiang Yi Chen from MTC received the guests.

NIED was established in 1962, under the command of Ministry of Education in Korea. It mainly supported the education for overseas Korean, promoted the English education in the domestic public schools, and regularly selected outstanding foreigners to study in Korea through Korean Government Scholarship.

Professor Pu Hu Nan shared the operation of NIED and commended NTNU for the small class size teaching in MTC.
