Minister of Ministry of Education Tuvalu Called On NTNU
Delegates from Tuvalu led by the Minister of Ministry of Education Hon. Dr. Falesa Pitio called on NTNU on July 4th. Principal Chang Kuo En and the Vice Director Liang Yi Ping from Office of International Affairs received our guests. After the welcome meeting, the group of people walked around NTNU campus and Mandarin Teaching Center. The visit strengthened the relations between two countries.
In the welcome meeting, Vice Director Liang Yi Ping introduced the history of NTNU in English. She emphasized on the importance of internationalization. She indicated that NTNU had made efforts in the international issues. Concluded sister schools with universities in Europe, Asia, United States, Canada, and Australia. NTNU actively cooperated with overseas schools, provided the overseas internship chances for students, and welcomed foreign teachers to teach in NTNU.
As for the Mandarin Teaching Center, Vice Director Liang Yi Ping indicated that it was established in 1956 and had a long history. It was the second time Dr. Falesa Pitoi visited NTNU. The group walked around the campus and observed the teaching environment in MTC after the welcome meeting.
