Japan Kwansei Gakuin University Called On NTNU for Exchange Students Details
Japan Kwansei Gakuin University called on NTNU on July 23rd. director Chen Chiu Lan and the director of Graduate Institute of Art History Tseng Shai Shu received the guests and discussed the further details of exchange students.
Kwansei Gakuin University was also called KGU. It was a private university located in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo, Japan. The school had three separated campuses. The three guests from KGU were Dr. Kazuyoshi Ogasawara from College of Science, Supervisor Shinsuke Haruki and Ai Koyama from international students department. KGU exchanged the information of the resources, courses, and accommodation of exchange students with NTNU and also concerned about every single detail.
Shinsuke Haruki indicated that studying in Asia was a trend since students could learn both Chinese and English. Director Chen Chiu Lan indicated that besides learning Mandarin Chinese in NTNU, exchange students from Japan could also take the English lessons in Graduate Institute of Art History.
In order to attract more students from Japan to study in NTNU, NTNU provided the four people dormitory for 2000 NT dollars a month. Students could choose to stay with Taiwanese students to improve their speaking ability. 15 hours a week for regular Mandarin courses and 3 hours a day for phonetic transcription. Director Chen expected more students from Japan to study in NTNU.
