Chung Hwa Telecom Cooperated with NTNU Department of Geography for 3D Model Industry
3D industry was obviously the trend in the future. Chung Hwa Telecom cooperated with NTNU Department of Geography, opened the “3D Model Design Professional Program”. The final presentation was held on September 25th. The program students displayed their learning result by showing the 3D digitalized NTNU main campus, gong guan campus, and lin kou campus map. Besides enhanced their ability, students also gained the sense of fulfillment.
Chung Hwa Telecom cooperated with many universities to increase the quality of 3D model digitalized service. With the 30 hours of beginning level classes, students were allow to make the 3D model of exquisite LOD3 standard. NTNU Professor Wang Sheng Duo from Department of Geography indicated that it was a rear chance for students. Illustrating map was the profession of Department of Geography. In the past, we only illustrate the 2D map. However, the trend would tend to be 3D map in the future. We appreciated Chung Hwa Telecom provided this chance for students to get in touch with this new technology.
3D technology could be applied to many different industries in the future. Geography space information, culture creative business, games, product design, industrial design, aviation, architecture, town planning, and management industry would all be related to 3D technology.
