International Mandarin Teach and Learn Seminar at NTNU
In order to promote the Mandarin education to the world, NTNU Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature and NTNU College of Continuing and Extension Education held the “2012 International Mandarin Education Academic Seminar” on October 25th and 26th. The seminar expected to gather the Mandarin teaching teachers all around the world together to make the efforts on the world Mandarin education.
The “International Mandarin Education Academic Seminar” each year was the big event in Mandarin teaching education and always attracted scholars in and out of Taiwan to participate. It reached the 3rd year this year. NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En, the vice chairman of the committee of Overseas Chinese Affairs Council Jen Hung, the chairman of Overseas Compatriot Educational Committee Lin Hsu Chen, the dean of NTNU College of Continuing and Extension Education Chen Xue Chih, director of NTNU Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature Tsai Ya Hsun, the scholars from United States, Beijing, Philippines, and Korea, and the teachers and students from Department of Applied Chinese Language and Literature attended the opening ceremony.
NTNU Principal Chang Kuo En indicated that NTNU had been working hard on Mandarin education in the past few years. It opened up the new door in the recent years by combining the teaching with technology and innovations. He expected the future teacher would apply technology in the teaching. He believed NTNU would cultivate more outstanding overseas Mandarin teachers.
