The Confucianism Under the Cross-Field Culture of 2013
The whole world was focusing on the wisdom in Confucianism. However, how to get closer to the Confucianism? What were the requests the Confucianism asked? How did we view the Confucianism? NTNU College of International Studies and Education for Overseas Chinese cooperated with National Central Library Center for Chinese Studies and NTNU Research Center for East Asian Cultures and Sinology to hold the “2013 Series Lectures of The Confucianism Under the Cross-Field Culture” on the 15th of January 2013 at the conference room in National Central Library. The lecture invited Professor Bernhard Fuehrer from England University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies to talk about the topic of: Sima Qian as a Reader of Master Kong’s Utterances.
Professor Bernhard Fuehrer specialized in the Sinology, Chinese literature, the world of thought in Ancient China, and Chinese Linguistic. He studied and interpreted The Analects of Confucius and written the book “Lost and Forgotten : The History of Chinese Studies in Austria” was highly recommended in the academic field.
