NTNU starts the First Global Fashion EMBA in Taiwan
The first cross faculty EMBA in Global Fashion on the job training program is now established by NTNU. The EMBA program is led by NTNU, NTU and NTUST and the giants of the industry, bringing Taiwan to the top of the fashion business in the world.
Fashion is always the hot topic of culture and creative industry in Taiwan and abroad. To cultivate Taiwan as a fashion land, NTNU has now established the first Global Fashion EMBA (GF-EMBA) and the class will start in 2016 which aims to educate those who are interested in global branding, marketing and fashion management.
The first GF-EMBA is led by the President of NTNU, Chang Kuo En, the Dean of Academic Affairs Chen Chao Chen, chair professor Wu Sou-Shan, the Chairman of GreTai Securities Market and the executive director Jerry H. Hsia.
What’s more impressing is the consultant invited by NTNU, including the chairwoman of GroupM Taiwan, Sandra Yu, General Manager at Prada Taiwan, Louis Shih, the band manager of Franz, Nicky Chen, the President of National Palace Museum, Feng Ming-chu, honorary professor of NCCU, Wu Jing-Jyi, the chairwomen of Pacific SOGO Dept. Stores Company, Sophia Huang, Chairwoman of Big City, Philby Lee and editor team of Vogue Taiwan.
President Chang who serves as the chair of GF-EMBA consultant stated that the fashion industry has become the star of future. Although Taiwan is productive in designing and, the fashion industry of Taiwan is not connected to the world. That’s why President Chang believes that NTNU should now establish an EMBA to cultivate future professionals in fashion management with the NTU Triangle.
When it comes to teachers, GF-EMBA executive Professor Hsia said that they will make good use of NTU Triangle. Despite professors from NTU Triangle, they will invite general managers and chairperson in the industry to open lessons.
