Silpakorn University Visited NTNU for Teachers Training

Vice President and administrators of Silpakorn University paid a visit to NTNU on May 28th. Vice President Greg Lee, Vice President for International Affairs Yu Kuang Chao, Vice President Hsu Ying Shao greeted the 28 guests in person and discussed teacher's training. 
 
Silpakorn University was founded in Bangkok in 1943 as one of the five major universities in Thailand. With the school becomes bigger, they opened up business, social science sections. In addition to bachelor's to doctorate education, Silpakorn University also offers training courses in language, health and design. 
 
Director Lin Tzu bin of the Office of Teacher Education and Careers Service and President Hsu Ying Shao of the Office of Research and Development gave presentations to the guests about their work. For the good of teachers' training, the College of Teacher Education was established in 2017. Teachers from different backgrounds who are specialized in Strategies for Teaching and practicum are gathered in the college and learn from each other. The Office comprises three divisions: the Division of Research Planning and Coordination, the Division of Academic Research Promotion and Coordination, and the Division of Research and Industry Liaison. NTNU has been keen on international affairs, students from more than 20 countries come here as exchange students. Representative of the President of Silpakorn University, Dr. Pornsak Sriamornsak said that their university is very similar to NTNU in terms of education, teacher training and even international reputation. He hopes that through this visit, they can know more about language and culture, educational courses and develop a deeper relationship between the two universities.
