Sister School University of Northern Colorado Came to NTNU
Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado Eugene Sheehan, Prof. Michelle Low and Prof. I-Huei Lee from World Languages and Cultures visited NTNU on June 4th. Vice President for International Affairs Yu Kuang Chao and Associate Dean Jong-Long Guo of the College of Education welcomed them happily.
The friendship of the University of Northern Colorado and NTNU dates back to 2003. They also have a duel degree agreement with the Department of Physic Education. The guests came for the 10th International Conference and Workshops on Technology and Chinese Language Teaching in the 21st Century (TCLT10) and scheduled a meeting with Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences for academic cooperation.
Established as the State Normal School of Colorado, the university has a long history in teacher education, and was an early innovator in the field. In addition to education awards and rankings, UNC has nationally ranked programs in business, performing and visual arts, nursing, and sports and exercise science. UNC’s 19 athletic teams compete in NCAA Division I athletics.
Administrators from the University of Northern Colorado said that the exchange program has been running smoothly in recent years. Lots of students came to MTC to learn Chinese. If Taiwanese students want to teach Chinese in the states, they have a course of three semesters that students can receive a master’s degree as well as a certificate of teaching. With NTNU Ambassador, the guests visited the administration building, wen Huei Hall, the auditorium and the swimming pool.
