International Cultural Day at Linkou Campus

The International Cultural Day can be dated back to the school anniversary event. Many alumni would come back to visit their teachers and friends.  Director of Overseas Students Preliminaries Hong Ren Jin hosted the opening ceremony. President Liu Hsiang Lin from the Office of International Affairs and  Principal of National Overseas Chinese Senior High School were invited to the event. Local citizens came and learned about the activities in different cultures.  More than 250 alumni returned and it was a memorable scene.

Students made every effort to make their hometown cuisine so that the visitors can have an authentic experience of the exotic cuisine. These are, Japanese street food and grilled meats, Indonesian fried noodles and pancakes, dish and jelly from Myanmar, Vietnamese snacks and spring rolls, dim sum and curry fish balls, Malaysian satay and coconut rice, Indonesian noodles, french fries, meatballs, fried cheese, cream corn, chocolate fondue, marshmallows, ... and so on. In addition, Henna, fun games and cosplay are all loved by children. Many students were dressed in their traditional costume and the international culture day is more meaningful.

Some students first performed the 24 Festive Drums as an opening show. After the guest greeted the audience, one student, Hsieh Wei Ying sang a song "Journey to the Past"

The last part is a catwalk from the campus ambassador. 16 of them, coming from Malaysia, Hongkong, Myanmar and Thailand, wore traditional cloth and walked on stage. There's a group photo after the show and the event ended in a happy atmosphere.
