NTNU Vehicle Program Bonds with the University of Michigan
Prof. Huei Peng, Roger L. McCarthy Professor of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Michigan paid a visit to President Wu and had a fruitful discussion with Director Hong Yi Xuan from the Undergraduate Program of Vehicle and Energy Engineering and Dean Cheng Chin Pao. The cooperation between the two universities are about to begin.
Huei Peng received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992. He is now a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. His research interests include adaptive control and optimal control, with emphasis on their applications to vehicular and transportation systems. His current research focuses include design and control of electrified vehicles, and connected/automated vehicles. President Wu presented a certificate of appreciation to Prof. Hong and Director Hong said that Prof. Peng has been given various awards and is active in many important organizations. It's our great honor to invite him to NTNU.
