Graduate Institute of International Human Resource Development Signed with ICDF for Classes for Senior Officials from Allies

 
To strengthen our relationship with our allies and assist them in training government officials that excels in leadership and human resources, President Wu Cheng Chih of NTNU signed a Letter of Intent of Foreign Student Scholarship Program of International Advanced Manpower Training - Senior Official of Ally Government Training with Taiwan ICDF (The International Cooperation and Development Fund) Secretary General Amb. Timothy T. Y. Hsiang on September 12th. 
 
Special Assistant to Secretary General Chang Chi Chiang, Vice President for International Affairs Liu Hsiang Lin, Dean of College of Technology and Engineering Kao Wen Chung and many other higher administrators attended the signing ceremony. 
 
This graduate program was established in 2003 in the College of Technology under the name of the Graduate Institute of International Workforce Education and Development (IWED), to respond to the growing need for international workforce development brought forth by rapid globalization. 86 alumni now work at their home country as managers and professionals. After signing the letter of intent, the class for leadership and human resources will start in the academic year of 2019. The goal is to increase the understanding of officials from our allies towards Taiwan and establish bond with governments in allies.
 
In this class, the theory and practice of leadership and human resources management will be taught, and students will visit government agencies and will also understand specialized industries in Taiwan. In addition, experts, scholars, professors, and academics are invited to exchange ideas with the participants. It is hoped that through classes, officials can better understand Taiwan, deepen the connection with Taiwan and we can achieve the dual purposes of education and diplomacy.
