Adjusted COVID-19 Prevention Measures for 2021-2022 Academic Year

1.Course modality and classroom protocols: Starting Oct. 13 (Week 4), classes will be conducted based on the Guidelines for the Management of COVID-19 in the 2021-2022 Academic Year of Colleges and Universities announced by the Ministry of Education on Oct. 4, 2021.

1)Full resumption of in-person classes. Staff, faculty and students are requested to follow the guidelines and cooperate with the following measures.

 A.Real-name system: Roll calls should be enforced and records of student's attendance kept. Scan the classroom QR Code before entering.
 B.Adopt fixed seating and fixed members. If fixed seating is not possible, take photos of the seating to aid in pandemic investigations if need be.
 C.Wear a mask, sanitize hands, and don't eat or drink throughout classes.
 D.Classrooms should be ventilated and equipment properly disinfected.

2)If more than 80 students are enrolled in one class and the limited classroom capacity cannot be met, the class should be conducted remotely. Students can use empty classrooms, computer rooms, libraries,Wenhui Hall or other public spaces to access the Internet.

2.Gathering activities (including on-campus workshops and student club activities): The maximum is 80 people indoors or over 80 people indoors but a distance of at least 1.5 meters per person (2.25 square meters per person) can be maintained between people; and 300 people outdoors. Eating and drinking are prohibited during the gathering. Follow CDC's Guidelines for Public Gatherings Under COVID-19.

3.Starting from Oct. 13, campus access control will be enforced on working days (see table). Present a Day Pass, an NTU System School ID or a proof of business visit are needed to enter the campus.
