NTNU College of Management Joins Top 6% Globally with AACSB Accreditation
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) officially announced on 4 May 2023 that the College of Management at National Taiwan Normal University has received accreditation by the Association, representing the international community’s recognition of the College of Management's world-class quality in its operations.
Founded in 1916, AACSB brings together more than 1,850 member schools in over 100 countries worldwide. It is the oldest accreditation body for business education in addition to being the largest in scale and with the most members. AACSB is responsible for one of the two most prestigious international accreditations in the field of business management, alongside the European Quality Improvement System of the European Foundation for Management Development. Only 6% of the world's business schools have been successfully accredited to date, and NTNU is the first university in Asia with a teacher training background to receive AACSB accreditation—an important milestone since the College of Management’s establishment in 2008.
AACSB upholds the spirit of continuous improvement and global prosperity to cultivate the next generation of great leaders through the highest quality of education. Receiving AACSB accreditation both enhances NTNU’s international reputation to attract more top talents and student exchange opportunities as well as elevates our students’ credential and helps them to develop additional international contacts.
In accordance with NTNU’s policy regarding the promotion of international accreditation, the College of Management joined AACSB in 2015 and formally applied the next year for AACSB accreditation, steadily passing the rigorous 15 accreditation standards of the Association. Finally, the AACSB Initial Accreditation Committee reviewed and approved accreditation for the College following a successful visit by a peer review team whose members came from the US, Japan, and India in March 2023.
The AACSB-accredited units include the Department of Business Administration, Graduate Institute of Management, Graduate Institute of Global Business and Strategy, Executive Master of Business Administration, and Global Fashion- Executive Master of Business Administration.
