NTNU College of Management Welcomes Delegation from Kumamoto University’s School of Social Innovation

On March 11, The College of Management at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) welcomed a visiting delegation from the School of Social Innovation at Kumamoto University, Japan. The delegation included Dr. Yamaguchi, Dr. Koike, Ms. Maeda, and Ms. Takigawa, who visited NTNU to explore potential opportunities for academic collaboration.

During the visit, faculty members from NTNU’s College of Management introduced the college’s academic programs and international initiatives. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for both sides to learn more about each institution’s educational focus and to exchange ideas on possible areas of cooperation.

Representing the College of Management at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Prof. Tsai, Dean of the College of Management; Distinguished Professor Wu, Executive Director of the International Fashion Management EMBA Program and Prof. Cindy, Director of International Affairs participated in the meeting and shared insights into NTNU’s academic development and international engagement.

The School of Social Innovation at Kumamoto University is dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary education that addresses complex social challenges and promotes innovative solutions for sustainable development. Through collaborative learning and engagement with industry and local communities, the program aims to cultivate future leaders capable of driving positive social change.

Similarly, the College of Management at NTNU is committed to advancing responsible management and sustainable business practices. The college actively promotes research and education related to sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and innovative management strategies, encouraging students to integrate social impact and environmental responsibility into business decision-making.

With shared interests in social innovation and sustainable business development, both institutions see strong potential for meaningful academic collaboration. Both sides discussed several potential collaborative initiatives, including student exchange programs, short-term student visits, overseas internship opportunities and co-teaching opportunities. These initiatives aim to promote cross-cultural learning and enhance global engagement for students and faculty members.
