KPMG Visits NTNU to Share Career Opportunities, Attracting Over 65 Students
The College of Management at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) held a “Corporate Internship Recruitment Info Session” on April 13, 2026. The event invited Vice Chairman Vincent Chang of KPMG Taiwan Inc., Head of Private Equity and his delegation to campus to share internship opportunities and career development insights with students in person. This marked KPMG’s second consecutive year visiting NTNU, attracting enthusiastic participation from over 65 students from the College of Management. Due to limited classroom capacity, the venue was filled to capacity, reflecting the strong interest in the event.
The session was opened by Vice Chairman Chang, who provided an overview of KPMG Taiwan’s development and corporate culture. This was followed by welcoming remarks from Associate Professor Hui-Ling Chen, Director of the Graduate Institute of Management, who encouraged students to seize this valuable opportunity to gain deeper insights into industry practices.
Mr. Vito Mao from the Audit Department then introduced the nature of audit work and the working environment at KPMG. He highlighted the firm’s proprietary digital AI tools for auditors, which enable accounting professionals to work anytime and anywhere through mobile applications, demonstrating a high degree of flexibility and digital innovation. This was followed by Ms. Waylon Chang from the Tax and Investment Department, who introduced the department’s scope of work and engaged students in discussions on the differences between domestic and international tax systems, helping broaden their global perspective while learning about internship opportunities.
During the final Q&A session, Associate Professor Chen specifically advocated for internship opportunities for international students. KPMG responded positively, indicating openness to international applicants while emphasizing that strong Chinese language proficiency is an important requirement. Ms. Waylon Chang further noted that as cross-border investments continue to grow, candidates with local language skills will have a competitive advantage. Vice Chairman Chang also shared that he had previously collaborated with Taiwanese student associations in Australia to host accounting and finance sharing sessions at four universities—The University of Sydney, the University of Technology Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and Macquarie University—demonstrating KPMG’s active efforts in promoting international engagement and talent development.
This event not only provided essential information on internship applications but also deepened students’ understanding of the accounting and taxation professions through practical insights, enhancing their career planning capabilities. Associate Professor Chen noted that the College of Management will continue to collaborate with leading enterprises to build industry-academia platforms, helping students transition into the workforce, expand their global perspectives, and cultivate talents with strong professional competence and global competitiveness.
