NTNU International Students Enjoyed a Free Trip to the Sun Moon Lake

<p><font face="Arial">By Sabrina Lin<br /> Campus Reporter</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">International students at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) explored more about Taiwan during the two-day trip to the Sun Moon Lake last weekend.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">&quot;They (international students) would have a chance to know more about the country and make more friends through the trip as well,&rdquo; said Office of International Affairs (OIA) Director Chuang Kun-liang (莊坤良).</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">In addition to the Sun Moon Lake, the group also visited the recent-renovated 921 Earthquake Museum.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">The OIA organized the trip and paid all necessary expenses as well but only 30 vacancies were opened for registration by NTNU&rsquo;s international students.&nbsp; OIA staff Nicole Hsiung (熊子誼) said that OIA forwarded a notice of the trip via email to every international student approximately two weeks in advance.&nbsp; Hsiung said that prior to the establishment of OIA this July, Office of Student Affairs used to host the activity in the past.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">These 30 students came from 11 different countries but Mandarin and English were the major languages for them to communicate during the trip.<br /> </font></p>
