More than 300 alumni returned to the campus for a large-scale reunion, held by the Alumni Association, at the gym tonight.

"I miss our old manual bell. Unlike today’s electronic bell, the manual bell relied on manpower to remind everybody what time it was,” said Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng (王金平), who graduated from the Department of Mathematics in 1965.

Wang said that National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has changed a lot since his years. But he affirmed the changes and said that these changes also helped NTNU move forward.

The Alumni Association said that tonight’s reunion was also the beginning of a series activities to celebrate NTNU’s 62nd anniversary this year, while these activities will begin on June 5.

In addition to Wang, many senior alumni also said that they envied today’s NTNU students because there are modern gym, new buildings and remarkable indoor swimming pool on the campus, of which, they could only dream of during their time.

In addition to buffet and shows during the reunion, a birthday cake was also presented because it was also Wang’s birthday today. Along with him, all March birthday alumni shared the cake and celebrated their birthdays together.
