Bukina Faso Experience Sharing: Knowing How to Help Those in Need
On April 29th, the Centre of Student Counseling invited registered nurse Kao Li-Ting to share with students her experience in Bukina Faso where she and her doctor husband Lian Jia-En lived and practiced medicine. Her story made the audience realize just how happy and fortunate they were. Gao also encouraged students to help within their means those in need. The original speaker for this lecture was doctor Lian, but because of the outbreak of H1N1, all doctors need to be on call all day, hence the switch to Gao. Their story was made into a TV drama.
