2009 NIAG Lighting Ceremony at Taipei Confucius Temple
On April 30th, NTNU Principle Kou Yih-Shun led the team to attend lighting ceremony at Taipei Confucius Temple. Following the traditional memorial ceremony for Confucius, Principle Kou prayed for a successful game. The staff of the temple lighted the flame and handed it over to Principle Kou, representing the inheritance of education spirits that will never end. The ceremony finishes with a solemn and respectful atmosphere. The flame was delivered to NTNU, waiting for the Flame Handover Ceremony the next day. It would be carried form NTNU to 11 other universities in Taipei.
