Department of Music Cultivated Omnibearing Talents For 60 Years
Since its establishmentin 1946, NTNU’s Department of Music has been the top cradle and has nurtured numerous outstanding musicians and music teachers for Taiwan in the past 63 years, including internationally renown Xiao Tai-Ran, Xu Chang-Hui, Chen Guan-Yu, etc. Therefore, when the result of the Joint College Entrance Exam came out, it was no surprise to see the Department of Music in NTNU, with its philosophy of putting emphasis on both tradition and modernity, and on both musical and academic performances, was once again the top choice for this year’s high school graduates aspiring to become musicians or music teachers.
