2009 International Symposium on East Asia Regional Development
The Department of East Asian Culture and Development, NTNU and Taiwan Foundation for Democracy co-hosted the 2009 International Symposium on East Asia Regional Development on December 3rd at the 509 conference room, Union Building. Approximately 30 scholars from Taiwan, the UK, US, Japan and Korea came together to share their opinions on the current status of democracy and human rights in Taiwan. Under-Secretary Ho Qing-Shan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NTNU President Guo Yih-Shun and Executive Director Lin Wen-Cheng form the Taiwan Foundation for Democracy were invited to attend and give speeches at the opening ceremony.
