Lei Chien Ying Won Two Gold at World Archery Championships

Lei Chien Ying, a PhD student at NTNU and national archer, defeated South Korea by 6:2 on June 16th. It's the first-ever individual world championship of female archery for Taiwan. Later, she matched with world record holder Kang Chae Young from South Korea. It was a 5:5 game and with extended shots, Lei won by 9:7. Dean Chi Li Kang of the College of Sports & Recreation, Wang Ho Seng, Director Lin Mei Chung went the airport and welcome Lei Chien Ying and Wei Chun Heng.

Prof. Chang Yu Kai, Prof. Hsiao Hsien Sheng Received Outstanding Research Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology

Chair Professor Hsiao Hsien Sheng of the Dept. of Technology Application and Human Resource Development and Chair Professor Chang Yu Kai of the Department of Physical Education are selected among nearly 1000 outstanding scholars as the awardee of the Outstanding Research Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2019. This is an embodiment of our solid research power.

A Talk about Classic Literature at NTNU

On May 29th, Chair Professor Gareth Williams gave a talk, organized by the Center for General Education, at the auditorium with Associate Director of University Committee on Asia & the Middle East (UCAME) at Columbia University Rachel Chung and Associate Professor Daniel Hu at Graduate Institute of Translation and Interpretation. Prof. Williams shared some examples in Greek and Roman mythology including Cicero, Aeneid, Ovid and Pietro Bembo to support his ideas of finding similarity in different literature to create connection.

The College of Art and the Basel School of Design Curate the Graphic Design Exhibition

A huge step towards internationalization of the College of Arts of NTNU! The Basel School of Design came to NTNU again. The exhibition of Graphic Design is curated by Prof. Michael Renner and Prof. Lin Chun Liang from the Department of Design.

A Visit to Jakarta Taipei School

The visit of oversea Taiwan school is hosted by the Office of Teacher Education and Career Service. The 2019 pre-service teachers' visit was organized by Assistant Professor Kao Sung Ching. Two students, one from the Department of Civic Education and Leadership and another from Department of Social Education were sent to Jakarta, Indonesia for a two-week visit.
