Aluma Keng Li Stands on the Stage of Rome

Italy is home to operas. When speaking of opera singers, what comes to your mine? It seems that Caucasian people are more privileged to sing because of their physical strength. However, an aluma of NTNU, Keng Li, is now becoming part of the opera world in Rome, Italy. Keng Li, now 30, has lived in Italy for 7 years. It’s not easy for a music student to stand on stage in Italy.

Alumnus Tseng Miao Fen Leads Chinese Education in USA

In the March issue of Business Weekly, the alumnus of the English Department of NTNU, Tseng Miao fen, was introduced because of her outstanding career in Chinese teaching. Dr. Tseng is the first Chinese director and key trainer of the STARTALK Teacher Program at the University of Virginia. Her books are highly welcomed by Chinese teachers in the states and she is listed in the Who's Who in America Education.

CSIE Doctor Helps Google Beat Go Champ

Google defeat Go Champion with the help of a Taiwanese programmer. AlphaGO, a computer program developed by Google DeepMind in London, beat South Korean Go grandmaster Lee Se-dol on the 9th of March. The result was shocking to the world. And there was a Taiwanese born and educated doctor behind the super program AlphaGO.

World Champion Ma Trains Professional Trainers

A local Taiwanese kid got double champions in World Skills Competition, what can he do next? Traditionally, people think that he may start up a business and a factory, but Ma Xian Yuan, 35, is different. Graduated from Industrial Education of NTNU, he went to China to find his stage. After working in international automobile companies like Audi, Porsche, recently he started his own business of training professional trainers that go to vocational schools and businesses in China.
