2017 World Games Ended, President Chang Presented Prizes to Athletes
The World Games of 2017 just came to an end. More than 10 contestants joined the contest. Chinese Taipei Tug of War Women’s team brought back gold medal and achieved four consecutive victories in a row. The Taiwan team also grabbed the first silver among all Asian countries in Korfball. Wen Tzu-Yun, a karate athlete, got a silver medal in her first time joining the world games. A ceremony was held on August 9th and President Chang gave the athletes prize of 50,000 NTD and 30,000 NTD to encourage them to keep up the good work.2017.0825
International Reporters of Universiade Visited NTNU
The 2017 Summer Universiade has begun in Taipei. Many NTNU students take part in the games and the stadium is one of the official venue. On August 21st, a group of International reporters visited NTNU. Vice President Wu Cheng Chih, Dean of College of Sports and Recreation, Chi Li Kang, Associate Vice President of the Office of International Affairs, Huang Chi Yo, Chairman Tan Tien-Chin of the Graduate Institute of Sport, Leisure and Hospitality, Chairman Lin Mei Chun of the Department of Physical Education and other professors welcomed the guests. Secretary Chen Tzu Show and Lin Ming Chun from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the group tour as well.2017.0825
First Medal in 2017 Universiade Taken from NTNU Athletes
The 2017 Summer Universiade started on August 20th. On the first day, the Taiwan team took 1 silver and 2 bronze, and 1 silver and 1 bronze are from NTNU athletes. Lin Kan Yu, a sophomore at the Department of Athletes Performance, received silver in Women’s Individual freestyle Poomsa and Chen Chien Chuan, who just graduated from NTNU, received bonze in Men’s individual freestyle Poomsae.2017.0825
Dept. of Physical Education of Hanyang University Connected to NTNU
The leader in physical education, the Department of Physical Education of NTNU, signed a MOU with Hanyang University. Chairman Lin Mei Chun visited Hanyang University in June 10th and attended the signing ceremony. On August 16th, Prof. Park from the Department of Physical Education came to NTNU and signed for the renamed appendix.2017.0825
