NTNU is ranked 42th in the world in the latest QS Subject Rankings
The QS World University Rankings published on February 26th, 2014, announced the world rankings of universities for 30 individual subjects. National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is listed in the top 200 for four of these subjects. The ranking of NTNU in the subject of education rose from last year’s number 50 to number 42 this year. In addition, NTNU once again is among the top 150 world universities for modern languages and the top 200 for communication and media studies for the first time. NTNU-Jingmei Women’s Tug of War Team Shines at World Championships
The World Indoor Tug of War Championships are held once every two years. This year (2014), the games were held in Ireland, and the Chinese Taipei women’s team was made up of a group of students from the Department of Physical Education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and Taipei Jingmei Girls High School. On February 22nd, the team took second place in the 540 kg world championship division and, on February 23rd, grabbed first place in the 500 kg world championship division. The team won two matches in a row, and, all together in the open club championships, earned three gold and three silver medals. Their accomplishments have brought glory to the people of Taiwan.2014.0221

2014 NTNU Summer School is coming soon
NTNU is the only one considered integrated university including arts and humanities in the Taiwan’s Top 12 universities; it ranks first in the field of education in Asia in the QS rankings. In recent years the subject of management has also received the attention of related enterprises in Taiwan, consequently all-English summer school courses with NTNU characteristics will be offered in 2014.
