The 13-day Summer Universiade Napoli 2019 ended on July 14th. Athletics from NTNU have made an impressive performance, earning 3 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze for Taiwan, accounting for 1/3 of medals. Lei Chien Ying Won Two Gold at World Archery Championships
Lei Chien Ying, a PhD student at NTNU and national archer, defeated South Korea by 6:2 on June 16th. It's the first-ever individual world championship of female archery for Taiwan. Later, she matched with world record holder Kang Chae Young from South Korea. It was a 5:5 game and with extended shots, Lei won by 9:7. Lei Chien Ying Won a Gold at 2019 Archery World Cup with Teammates
Lei Chien Ying, an athlete at the Department of Athletic Performance and teammate Tan Ya Ting, Peng Chia Mao defeated the Mexican by 5:1 and won the gold of the recurve women's team at Archery World Cup. This is a good start for the World Archery Championship in June and possibly the ticket for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.2019.0521
Wei Chun Heng Grabbed Gold at Archery World Cup in Men's Recurve Team
In the 2019 Hyundai Archery World Cup Stage II, Wei Chun Heng, a student of the Department of Athletic Performance worked with his teammate at Jakarta Palembang 2018 Asian Games, beat Turkey, 5-1. The men’s recurve team won the gold medal and the women’s recurve team brought back bronze medal.2019.0324
