A Step of Internationalization of NTNU, Signing with European Universities
Over the years, our students have shown strong interest in western universities when it comes to exchange programs. One of our important strategies in making NTNU a more internationalized university is to bond with European universities. In late June, President Wu Cheng Chih, Vice President Frank Yung-Hsiang Ying, Library Director Ke Hao Ren, Chair of the Department of Chinese as a Second Language and Associate Chen Jenn Yeu and Vice President Liu Yi De visited several prestigious universities in France and Germany including University of Bordeau, Aix-Marseille University and Paul Valéry University, Montpellier III in France, and University of Bayreuth in Germany.2019.0706
Asia Pacific Forum for Science Talented kicks off at NTNU on JUL 6 2019
The Fifth Asia Pacific Forum for Science Talented (APFST) will kick off this Saturday (July 6 2019) in National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). The six-day forum includes teacher forum featuring Infusing Leadership into Science Teaching, hands-on projects, and numerous cultural events. Each participating country or region sends a delegation of six students and two teachers or officials as group leaders.2019.0629
A fruitful Course given by NTNU and UBC Professors
This event was held by Prof. Su Jung from the English Department with Professor of Classics and chair of Literature Humanities Gareth Williams and Associate Director University Committee on Asia & the Middle East (UCAME) at Columbia University Rachel E. Chung for a dialog across time and space. Other professors from the English Department including Dean Chern Chiou Lan of the College of Liberal Arts, Prof. Lucy Nicholas from King’s College and phD students Scott Faul and Linda from GITI also attend this event.2019.0627
Lei Chien Ying Won Two Gold at World Archery Championships
Lei Chien Ying, a PhD student at NTNU and national archer, defeated South Korea by 6:2 on June 16th. It's the first-ever individual world championship of female archery for Taiwan. Later, she matched with world record holder Kang Chae Young from South Korea. It was a 5:5 game and with extended shots, Lei won by 9:7. Dean Chi Li Kang of the College of Sports & Recreation, Wang Ho Seng, Director Lin Mei Chung went the airport and welcome Lei Chien Ying and Wei Chun Heng.2019.0619
