NTNU Receives QS University Ranking of 411-420

QS University Rankings announce the 2014/2015 rankings on September 16th. Among the 40,000 universities worldwide, Nation Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) was ranked between 411 and 420, moving up seventy places compared to last year. With this year's overall improvements in performance, NTNU earned its highest ranking to date. NTNU is ranked second and fifth among universities in Taiwan for the indicators of internationalization and academic reputation, respectively. This shows that NTNU's efforts to enhance the quality of research and promote internationalization have received global recognition.

Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée Visits NTNU to Promote Cooperation

Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée (UPEM) President Dr. Gilles Roussel visited NTNU on September 4th. He was received by NTNU Vice President Cheng-chih Wu and Dean of International Affairs Frank Ying. The two sides discussed recent happenings at the two universities and future plans for establishing academic relations and student exchange programs.

Renowned Hosei University Visits NTNU to Promote Student Exchange

A group from Hosei University, led by Executive Director Masato Masuda, visited National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) on the afternoon of July 21st. The group was received by NTNU Vice President Cheng-chih Wu and Dean of International Affairs Frank Ying. The two universities became sister schools in February. During this meeting, the two sides discussed further promotion of student exchange programs.

Visit of South Korean Representative in Taiwan

On the afternoon of June 24th, Baek-sang Cho, the South Korean Representative in Taiwan, visited NTNU. Cho was received by NTNU President Kuo-en Chang, the director of the Mandarin Training Center, Howard Hao-jan Chen, and the director of the Center of Public Affairs, Wen-Pin Hope Lee. Representative Cho hopes to promote further exchange between Korean universities and NTNU by gaining a better understanding of NTNU's learning environment and resources.

Department of Chinese as a Second Language and the Singapore Center for Chinese Language Sign Cooperation Agreement

National Taiwan Normal University is sparing no effort to promote Chinese language learning, teaching and teacher training. NTNU continues to make significant contributions in the area of Chinese language education. To train professional Chinese language teachers in Singapore and enhance the cooperation between Taiwan and Singapore, NTNU held the "2014 Short-term Study Tour for Chinese Language Teachers from Singapore" from June 8th to 11th. A closing ceremony for this event was held at 5 p.m. on June 11th.
