Taiwan Got 6 Golds and 1 Bronze at 2018 Tug of War International Federation Outdoor Club Championships

The women's tug of war team, composed of teammates of National Taiwan Normal University and students from Taipei Jingmei Girls Highs School, went to Cape Town, South Africa in September for the 2018 Tug of War International Federation Outdoor Club Championships. They have grabbed 6 golds, 1 bronze and kept the 500-kg title for 5 consecutive years; they also triumphed in the under-23 500-kilogram event and senior 540-kg weight class for two years in a row.

NTNU Got 4 Gold 4 Bronze at 2018 FISU World University Weightlifting Championship

Students from the Department of Athletic Performance went to Poland for the 2018 FISU World University Weightlifting Championship. Chen Wen Huei, Chen En Tzu and Hsieh Yun Ting have got 3 gold and 2 bronze in snatch and clean and jerk; and got 1 gold and 2 bronze for the total score. Chen En Tzu, a freshman, tops at snatch and clean and jerk.

Taiwanese scholar becomes U.S. kinesiology academy fellow

Hung Tsung-min (洪聰敏), a professor in physical education at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), has been selected as an international fellow by the National Academy of Kinesiology in the United States, only the second Taiwanese to receive that honor, NTNU said in a statement released Monday.

An Oversea Apprenticeship in Sweden

National Taiwan Normal University has been given the fund for foreign education apprenticeship course and educational internship program by the Ministry of Education in the year of 2017. Under the support of the Office of Teacher Education and Careers Service, Associate Professor Lin Tzu Bin organized the program of "Flying to Northern Europe: apprenticeship program in Sweden". Five pre-service teachers were selected among applicants from different departments and went to Uppsala, Sweden for a two-week oversea apprenticeship program.
