Foreign Students at NTNU Found Classmates from around the World

According to statics from the Ministry of Education, there are about 118,000 foreign students in the academic year of 2017, which is the highest of recent years. Students from South East Asia had an increase of 5000 this year.

NTNU Invite musicians for World University Concert

The Center for the Research & the Business Development of Asian Pop Culture is the organizer of Pop Music Interdisciplinary Development Project. The seminar, held at the Conference hall on April 20th and 21st. is about the development of pop music in Taiwan, the education of talents, various aspects of the academic and industry. Professors and musicians from Japan, America, Thailand, Indonesia are invited to sign the MOU of World University Concert and hope that the concert can serve as Universiade where talented college students can compete and exchange ideas through the competition.

The New School Visits NTNU

The story began with emails, two and a half hour seminar in New York and later, A mail from Matthew Sullivan, Chief of Staff and Director of Special Projects, College of Performing Arts, the New School connected Amanda Hosking, Director of Admissions/College of Performing Arts and Chairman/CEO Hsia Hsueh Li of EMBA in Global Fashion. On April 11th, Director Hosking wrote to confirm that he'll visit NTNU on April 15th. Chairman Hsia felt so touched and said that he met Director Hosking on the trip to New York with GF-EMBA students in January. He was glad that she'd like to pay a visit to NTNU during her busy schedule visiting Asia.

Pre-service teachers went to UBC for Practice Teaching

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a public research university with campuses and facilities in Vancouver and Kelowna, British Columbia. Established in 1908, UBC is British Columbia's oldest institution of higher learning. The university is ranked among top 20 public universities worldwide and top two in Canada. UBC has close relationship with NTNU. The Office of Teacher Training and Career Service has been promoting the in practice teaching of pre-service teachers. In 2017, eight pre-service teachers have gone to UBC for a two-week practice teaching; three pre-service teachers from UBC have come to Taiwan and finished their practice teaching. Some significant result has shown to those who finish their practicum.

NTNU Gymnasts Exceeds at National Intercollegiate Athletic Games 2018

The National Intercollegiate Athletic Games 2018 came to an end on April 15th. Athletes from National Taiwan Normal University have performed fairly well. The professional gymnastic team did well as expected and NTNU Gymnastics has broken the record and bring back 17 gold, 11 silver and 4 bronze, making NTNU the top 1 among all universities in numbers of medals.
