NTNU Team up with UCLA for International Academic Conference

The conference The Indigenous Knowledge, Taiwan: Comparative and Relational Perspectives held by NTNU and UCLA, took place in UCLA on May 11th to 12th. Outstanding scholars around the world gathered together for a prosperous talk about indigenous issues. The relationship between both universities has become stronger.

Taiwan Team Scores 4 Gold in 2018 APhO

The 19th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2018) was held at Hanoi, Vietnam on May 12th. The Taiwan team, trained by professors of NTNU, grabbed 4 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze this year. Chung Shang Hsuan, one senior student, is praised as the Most Deserving Performer of Theory Round by the chairperson.

Dept. of Industrial Education went to Thailand training local teachers

To echo with the New Southbond Policy of the Ministry of Education, the Department of Industrial Education was invited by the government of Thailand to assist with training local teachers. Under the instruction of professors and graduate students of NTNU, 40 vocational teachers learned about app development and showed good results.

Speaker from NYU with Broadway experience comes to NTNU

Director of Vocal Performance Dr. Ana Flavia Zuim will be at NTNU on May 20th for a master class, held by the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts. Dr. Ana Flavia Zuim is a renowned vocal instructor, collaborative pianist and musical director.

Ronaldo from Paraguay Appreciates Taiwan Scholarship that Takes him to PhD Studies

Ronaldo Luis Rodas Jara, a senior student from the Dept. of special education, came to Taiwan with the scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The research of special education in Taiwan is the top in Asia. Ronaldo came here because he cared about the minority group, special education and potential development. Later, he was accepted by the phD program of the University of Warwick in England with his distinguished performance.
