NTNU Grabbed Runner up at 2016 Mobileheroes
This year, a total of 372 teams, nearly a thousand contestants, joined the 2016 Mobileheroes, a competition that aims to develop a variety of innovative, wearable devices, application and Internet of Things with EMediaTek LinkIt. Chair Professor Yang Mu awarded the 2016 Cikada Prize
Chair Professor Yang Mu was award the 2016 Cikada Prize by the Swedish Institute. In the afternoon of November 11th, the ceremony was held at the VIP room of NTNU. President Chang, Chair Professor Yang and other distinguished guests showed up. The Chairman of the Cikada Prize, Lars Vargö came to Taiwan to give the prize to Prof. Yang in person.2016.1005
German Professor Activates Robot in NTNU
At the Department of Electrical Engineering, you can easily spot a tall, foreign-looking man from other Asian faces. The German Professor Jack Baltes from the University of Manitoba in Canada came to NTNU this April is specialize in robot map building and positioning, intelligent control, computer vision, machine learning, etc. He got his PhD of computer science from the University of Calgary. Mandarin Teacher from NTNU Went to Russia to Teach Traditional Characters
The Ministry of Education start “The 8-year project of construction and application of Mandarin” in 2009 with an aim that Mandarin teachers can be the pusher of Taiwanese culture. So far, 607 people went to United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Paraguay, Mexico and Malawi to teach Mandarin, expanding the world map of Taiwanese Mandarin teaching. This year, 130 people are selected to 15 countries. On September 7th, a press conference was held, inviting teachers that went teaching overseas to share their experience.2016.0623
