Chair Prof. Liu Kuo Sung Becomes Member of American Academy
Liu, now 84, is universally honored as the earliest and most important advocate of modernist Chinese painting. As a chair professor in NTNU and an alumnus from the Department of Fine Arts, he is the first Taiwanese member in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the first Chinese painter that receive this honor. On October 14th, he came back to Wen Huei Hall, NTNU for the celebration ceremony. President Chang commended him for the honor and NTM Director Mr. Chen Jimin came with greeting.2016.1021
NTNU Students Visited MOFA
The faculty of the Center of Careers Service led students to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October fifth. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (MOFA) is a cabinet level policy-making body, governed under the Executive Yuan of the Republic of China. Yen Chun Chieh led 6 students and won 6 awards in Japan
Full time Assistant Professor of Music Department, Yen Chun Chieh, led six young pianists to Japan for the 5th International Young Pianist Competition and won six top prizes with 720,000 Japanese yen.2016.1014
