Newly Established College of Social Science Sees Education as its Core Value
In 2009, a College of Social Science is officially established in NTNU. Under this new college are departments including the Graduate Institute of Political Science, the Graduate Institute of Social Work, and the Graduate Institute of Mass Communication (which were originally under the College of Education), and newly established research centres on subjects such as media literacy, aborigine, and minority groups.2009.0825

2009 Cross-Strait Cricket Championship Completed
Last weekend, NTNU hosted the 2009 Cross-Strait Cricket Championship, in which universities and colleges from cross-strait were invited to compete with one another. Participating schools from China included Baijing Language and Culture University, Capital College of Physical Education, Ningbo City College of Vocational Technology, Hainan University, etc.2009.0819
Hygiene, Counselling, and Education to Help Rebuild Damaged Areas in the 88 Flood, said Principle Guo
NTNU continues to care for the aftermath of the 88 Flood. When Principle Guo returned to Taiwan on August 19th from a cross-strait seminar on higher education and other academic visits, he immediately called a meeting with relative personnel to discuss issues in hygiene, counselling and education.2009.0818
