Imagine for Education! A Conference that Gathers Scholars

The International conference on educational imaginary: Evaluation and Innovation was held by the Department of Education, NTNU, National Academy for Educational Research and The Chinese Society of Education and many other associations on November 20th and 21st at Education Building. In this conference, many important figures came and exchanged their opinions with others. Excellent papers were published, this was a really meaningful event for the academic education field.

Alumnus Jing Yu Elected as TWAS Fellow

Recently, The World Academy of Sciences announced their Fellows in 2015 and one of them is Yu Jing, an alumnus of the Department of mathematics graduated in 1972. TWAS, The World Academy of Sciences is a merit-based science academy established in 1983, uniting 1,000 scientists in some 70 countries. The 26th General Meeting was held in Vienna, Austria, from 18 to 21 November 2015.

NTNU holds Conference on Sinophone Writers

The 2015 International Conference on Sinophone Writers was had a grand opening at the National Central Library from 28 to 29 November 2015. The host Global Chinese Writing Center, NTNU invited 33 scholars and writers in Taiwan and abroad to share their experience in creating and reading in 7 sessions of this conference, which draw a warm welcome from the audience.

NTNU visits University of Tsukuba to Strengthen Cooperation

In order to elevate its research production and the quality of its research, The Department of Life Science, NTNU is now working hard and look up to the University of Tsukuba as a goal. Hence, in November, Director Chien Chiang Ting and other related administrators and professors visited the University of Tsukuba.

NTNU enlisted as Best Uni of Sport Sciences Physical Education and Kinesiology

The first evaluation of Physical Education and Kinesiology has come out. NTNU was rated as one of the top 7 universities in the world. After ranked 22nd in QS Subject Ranking, NTNU once again received global recognition as an excellent university. On the category of teaching capacity, NTNU was praised as one of the most outstanding global university, surpassing McGill University in Canada, Seoul National University in South Korea, the University of Sydney in Australia and other well-known international universities.
