NTNU players at the 2015 Pro Basketball All-Star Classic Game

The 2015 Pro Basketball All-Star Classic Game was held at Xinzhuang Gymnasium on Oct. 9th.The NTNU Men's Basketball team players teamed up with SBL (Super Basketball League) players. The Taiwan team is composed of five SBL current and former players, and players from NTNU, NTUA. Taiwanese players and fans are crazy about seeing former NBA players play. President of UdK called on NTNU

Martin Rennert, the Principal of Berlin University of the Arts, the largest art school in Europe came visited NTNU on Oct. 6th with Hsu Li Tian, officer of the Department of International and Cross-strait Education in Ministry of Education. Principal Chang Kuo En welcomed them in person with administrators of NTNU and hoped that both universities can become sister schools.

2015 International Environmental Education Conference Was Started

The 2015 International Environmental Education Conference “Urban Environmental Education International Conference” was held by the Environmental Protection Administration (ROC) and NTNU on Oct. 5th in the Conference Hall of NTNU. Four American and Japanese scholars shared their experience of promoting urban environmental education abroad with participants. Minister without portfolio Yeh, Shin Cheng and the Deputy Director of the Environmental Protection Administration Fu Shu Keung showed up at the open ceremony. The Vice President of NTNU Sung Yao-Ting greeted everyone and said that the key of urban environmental education is to go out of the office and put those ideas into practice.

International Conference on Educational Evaluation Gathered Scholars

The International Conference on Educational Evaluation: Accountability, Policy Learning and Capacity Building was held on Oct. 2nd and 3rd by the center for educational research and evaluation, NTNU.

Visiting Professor Yang Peidong Receives MacArthur ‘Genius Award’

UC Berkeley chemist Yang Peidong who is also a Visiting Professor at NTNU has been named a MacArthur “genius” Fellow for his effort trying to capture carbon dioxide from the air and turn it into a sustainable transportation fuel. Yang will stay in NTNU from this January to next December doing research in the Department of Chemistry. He was invited to be the speaker of the forum of Recent Progress on Nanomaterials Research held by the Department of Chemistry this June.
