Meeting of RSIM Helps the Conservation of Music Manuscripts

The Répertoire International des Sources Musicales (RISM) workshop was held under the 2015 Taipei Conference of Collative Project on Chinese Music Resources by the Digital Centre of Music of NTNU on Oct 15th and 16th. Professionals from Germany, America, Canada, Korea, China and Hong Kong gathered together to discuss the founding of RISM in Chinese speaking area.

President of the University of Kagoshima Came to NTNU

Tsumagari Sadtoshi, the President of NTNU’s sister school, the International University of Kagoshima visited NTNU with its administrator, including Officer Nakamura Mikio and Officer Wang Shia on Oct 24th. President Chang Kuo En welcomed them in person with Dean of the Office of International Affairs Frank Y-H Ying and Director Liang Iping.

NTNU Students Bring Taiwan to the World

“Being a Youth Ambassador is representing Taiwan and now we feel that we have to be responsible to Taiwan.” This year, 5 NTNU students were selected as Youth Ambassadors and they flew to five different continents this summer promoting Taiwan to the world. Except for having discussion with foreign politician and governors, visiting non-government organizations, they showed their exceptional skills of Taekwondo and Traditional artistic in many different countries.

Volunteers of Lover Myanmar Share Their Experiences

“Action speaks louder than words.” Said Professor of Departments of Civics and Education, Yen Miao Kuei, the leader of Love Myanmar Club in NTNU. The Club started 8 years ago, bringing volunteers to Myanmar to provide teacher education in Overseas Chinses School. The sharing meeting of their experience was held on Oct. 20th.
