Student Ambassadors in Malaysia promote DPPOCS

The Division of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students has started a new program to recruit students. Current students serve like ambassadors that promote DPPOCS to students of their former schools when they go back home in summer or winter vacation. We hope that through the experience sharing from current students, more and more people will feel motivated to come to Taiwan to study.

Young Inventors at International Exhibition for Young Inventor

International Exhibition for Young Inventor had been held from November 16th to 18th in New Taipei City Hall. There were 107 inventions from 8 countries and areas exhibited in this event. More than 500 students and teachers joined the exhibition. President Ma, Lin Teng Chiao from the Ministry of Education, Hou Yu Ih, the Vice Mayer of New Taipei City, and Chang Guo En, the President of NTNU all attended the opening ceremony and welcomed out guests abroad.

NTNU Students Bring Taiwan to the World

“Being a Youth Ambassador is representing Taiwan and now we feel that we have to be responsible to Taiwan.” This year, 5 NTNU students were selected as Youth Ambassadors and they flew to five different continents this summer promoting Taiwan to the world. Except for having discussion with foreign politician and governors, visiting non-government organizations, they showed their exceptional skills of Taekwondo and Traditional artistic in many different countries.

Academics from the Institut de France came to NTNU

Ministry of Culture invited two heavyweights from the Institut de France, Marianne BASTID-BRUGUIERE and Jean-Robert PITTE to deliver speeches in NTNU. One speech is about bilateral relationship between Taiwan and France and the other is about the dining culture of France. Distinguish guests included former minister of education and alumni Guo Wei-Fan also joined the event.

NTNU reached 376 in QS Ranking

QS World University Rankings of global higher education for 2015/2016 were announced on September 15th. Among more than 40,000 universities worldwide, the ranking of NTNU has improved. In 2013, NTNU was ranked 485 in 2013, 416 in 2014 and this year 376. Among universities in Taiwan, NTNU is ranked second on the criteria of internationalisation, and fourth on the criteria of academic reputation. It’s needless to say that the world has recognized the research quality and internationalization of NTNU. The new rankings show that National Taiwan Normal University has truly become a comprehensive university.
