How humorous are the people of Taiwan compared to those in other countries? What are the gender and cultural differences in the use of different humor styles? Is it possible to help students with Asperger syndrome to develop their positive humor styles?

Pre-service Teachers Visited Chiba University

Since we have established an exchange program with Chiba University in 2017, we have been sending pre-service teachers abroad for training. In 2019, the exchange program was hosted by Professor Yeh Yi Fen, four pre-service teachers were sent to Japan in July for a two-week training.

IWALS 2019 in Finland

With the support of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology, NTNU founded the Institute for Research Excellence in Learning Science with Pennsylvania State University in 2013. Since then, NTNU has been organizing International Workshop on Advanced Learning Sciences, IWALS with top universities in the world on a regular basis. The purpose is to provide a platform for scholars all over the world to learn and interact with each other in the field of language science, science learning and learning technology. NTNU aims to build a solid research foundation for learning science through strategic alliances with the world's top universities and to promote topics about learning science in a global scale.

NTNU Vehicle Program Bonds with the University of Michigan

Prof. Huei Peng, Roger L. McCarthy Professor of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Michigan paid a visit to President Wu and had a fruitful discussion with Director Hong Yi Xuan from the Undergraduate Program of Vehicle and Energy Engineering and Dean Cheng Chin Pao. The cooperation between the two universities are about to begin.

Pre-service Teacher went to Sweden for Different Ideas

In 2019, the National Taiwan Normal University expanded its program of oversea visit. Outstanding pre-service students were selected and sent to 11 countries and regions to observe and teach in many middle schools. This year, we continue to work with Uppsala University. Assistant Professor Chen Hsin Heng from the College of Teacher Education helped with the training and lead five students to Uppsala from March 25th to April 7th. This year, the students were assigned to different schools according to their expertise. They have taught about Taiwanese culture, calligraphy writing and made pearl milk tea. The students enjoy the classes very much.
