NTNU Forum on Internationalization of Higher Education
National Taiwan Normal University has invited vice presidents and provosts of international affairs and academic administrators from four top universities in the United States, Europe, and Asia as well as representatives of foreign institutions stationed in Taiwan to share strategies for internationalization. The two-day forum will explore the current status and trends of internationalization and international cooperation in higher education among various countries, exploring topics such as international strategic partnerships, international academic exchanges, global virtual exchange, global alumni relations, international student recruitment, transnational education and internships, English as a medium of instruction, and overseas Mandarin teaching.2023.0225
NTNU Delegation of Multiple Colleges Visits Seven Universities in Vietnam for Student Recruitment
According to statistics from the Ministry of Education, the number of Vietnamese international students studying in Taiwan has been increasing year by year and ranks first among foreign students in the past three years. As for National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), there were a total of 1,626 international students in 2022 (12% of the total student number), with Vietnamese overseas students ranking third (153 students), following Malaysia and Hong Kong. However, in terms of foreign students (excluding overseas Chinese students) and master's and doctoral students, Vietnamese students rank first in the university. NTNU Chair Professor Gao Xingjian Awarded the French Legion of Honor
Gao Xingjian, chair professor of National Taiwan Normal University and Nobel Prize laureate was awarded the Commandeur of the French Legion of Honor by French President Emmanuel Macron. Professor Gao is the first Chinese novelist honored with the highest honor in the French tradition that lasts 200 years, in recognition of his continuous commitment to outstanding achievements in literary and art creation. Prof. Gao Xingjian is a well known artist, novelist, playwright, critic, painter, photographer, film director, and translator who in 2000 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. He is also a noted translator, screenwriter, stage director, and a celebrated painter.2023.0202
