NTNU Alumna Received the Stevie Awards for Women as Business

The alumna from the Master Program of the Department of Adult and Continuing Education, CEO of Good Food Enterprise Co Viola Cheng, just received the Stevie Awards for Women as Business in Startup of the Year- Gold Stevie Winner and Young Female Entrepreneur- Silver Stevie Winner. Her company is known for solving social problems. Cheng went on stage with the flag of the Republic of China and impressed the business world with her company.

Aja Huang, the AlaphaGo Project Member Talks on Campus

Have you heard of AlphaGo? It is the computer program that defeated the world champion in 2016. The pusher, Aja Huang, senior researcher at DeepMind, is from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, NTNU. On Dec. 27th, Aja Huang came back to NTNU and met with President Chang Kuo En and his professors. Later, Aja shared his experience with NTNU students at Gongguan campus.

Alumni from the Dept. of Geography Wins Bronze from Reimagine Education Award

Alumni of the Department of Geography, Hsu Hsiao-Ping and Hsu Ting Yu received a bronze medal of Reimagine Education Award, which was held by Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Quacquarelli Symonds on December 4th, 2017. Reimagine Education is a prestigious international competition rewarding innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning outcomes & employability. It culminates in a global conference for those seeking to shape the future of education. Reimagine Education Award is known as the Oscar of Higher Education. Participation team comes from more than 1,000 top universities enterprises and research institutes.

NTNU Alumni Yang Su Han Tops the First Prize at International Competition for Conductors

Su-Han Yang, a 28-year-old youth conductor and alumni of NTNU, received the first prize at the Grzegorz Fitelberg International Competition for Conductors on November 25th. He is the first Taiwanese that receive an award in that competition. In addition to 250,000 euro, invitations from lots of International orchestras awaits the award-winning conductor. Students and professor of the Department of Music, NTNU are happy for him. Yang is grateful that Prof. Apo Chin-Hsing Hsu led him to become a conductor.

Chiang Meng Chih from NTNU Contributes to the Sensation of LoL

Chiang Meng Chih, age 31, has been living in the states for 6 years. She is the Creative Director of her studio, Mengdom Experimental Design Lab, and serves as senior designer at McCann Erickson. Chiang also teaches at School of Visual Arts, New York.
