42 New Faculty Join NTNU, Bringing Global Expertise and Academic Strength

NTNU Athletes Claim Five Golds at Chengdu World Games

NTNU student-athletes and alumni delivered strong performances at the 2025 Chengdu World Games, earning gold medals in powerlifting, speed slalom, korfball, and tug-of-war, along with a silver in fin swimming. Representing the Department of Sport and Kinesiology and the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the athletes demonstrated resilience, focus, and international competitiveness across a range of events.

NTNU Partners with IB to Host First IBEC Conference in Asia

NTNU hosted the 2025 International Baccalaureate Educator Certificate (IBEC) Conference in Taipei from 15 to 17 August, the first time the event has been held in Asia. More than 150 participants from 12 countries gathered under the theme “Empowering Educators to Thrive in a Changing World.” The program featured keynote lectures, academic presentations, and cultural activities, providing a platform for educators and researchers to exchange ideas, explore innovative teaching practices, and strengthen international collaboration in IB education.

NTNU and Mackay Memorial Team Up on Smart Nursing Technology

Researchers at NTNU and Mackay Memorial Hospital have developed an AI-powered nursing cart designed to ease the physical strain on nurses and free up more time for patient care. The project, part of a two-year industry-academia collaboration, integrates autonomous navigation, voice input, and clinical data tools, with trials already underway at Mackay’s Tamsui branch.
