Transnational Education with Kyushu University: Online Learning Platform and Dual Degree Program

Cultivating students' global thinking, enhancing international mobility and learning is one of the key projects of National Taiwan Normal University in promoting internationalization. With the powerful trend of globalization, "transnational education" is booming among higher education institutions around the world. Although traditional student and teacher exchange abroad, distance teaching are still the mainstream of transnational education, under the influence of increasingly fierce competition in higher education, low birth rate, and the pandemic, transnational education is undergoing unprecedented changes and innovation.

Over 100 Universities Worldwide Send Well Wishes to NTNU’s 100th Birthday

On the occasion of the centennial celebration of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), 104 of the current 394 renowned global partner universities congratulated NTNU through videos and letters. Their heartwarming wishes bring the existing connection even closer.

Joint promotion of Taiwan Studies Initiative and Huayu BEST Program by President Wu and UCLA Chancellor

To deepen the cooperation between NTNU and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), President Cheng-Chih Wu led a delegation to our sister school in the United States on August 18th and met with the Chancellor Gene Block and several administrators and deans to further exchanged views on the Taiwan Huayu BEST Program partnership. Through this meeting, the friendship between the two universities was strengthened. The UCLA Asia Pacific Center also held a luncheon for the delegation and invited about 30 scholars and PhD students to join.

NTNU Visits University of Texas at Austin for Deepening Cooperation

The delegation of NTNU led by President Cheng-Chih Wu visited University of Texas at Austin on the morning of August 16th and met with President Jay Hartzell and many senior university officers to deepen the relationship between NTNU and UT-Austin.

Online Forum by NTNU and Kyushu University Advances Bilateral Collaboration

In light of the abundant achievements of Kyushu University in academic research and industry-academia cooperation in recent years, and for the sake of continuing to deepen the academic cooperation and exchanges between the two universities, NTNU held an online joint forum with Kyushu University on December 3 of this year. Besides the theme of sustainable development which structured the forum, results of research collaborations by the two universities were also presented along with group discussions in various fields such as science, online education, mathematics for industry. The online forum served to expand the research capabilities of both universities as well as promote and advance their relationship of bilateral collaboration.
